Duncan Craig

About: As CEO I have experience of leadership in banking, the public sector, the charity sector, as a charity Trustee, Director of a credit Union, plus college chaplaincy. I have extensive experience working with people who sadly have found themselves without a home, at soup kitchens, emergency overnight accommodation, and as a Trustee of a charity to help those who find themselves without a home in which to live. My role is to provide strategic direction as Restore expands it services across York to ensure we help as many people as possible to live a fulfilled life in stable housing, and break the injustice of being without a home.
The favourite part of my work: I love to enable others to fulfil their potential; to see hurts, healed; damaging habits, restored; negative hang-ups, liberated. Through Restore, I welcome the opportunity to be a voice for those without a home, and work with leaders and groups across York to combat the injustice of those of us being without a place we can call home, and seek equitable long-term solutions. It is a joy to see the wider community join together in helping those at the margins of society become fully integrated and valued, without prejudice, discrimination and regardless of background.
